QS Stars is a rating system that provides a detailed look at an institution, across a number of categories. This allows prospective students to focus on the aspects of an institution which are of key importance to them. Universities are evaluated across four core criteria (Teaching, Employability, Research and Internationalisation). In addition, the Learning Environment (physical facilities or online/ distance learning) and at least two advanced criteria from Arts & Culture, Innovation, Social Responsibility and Inclusiveness are also examined. Institutions also submit a specialist subject for evaluation. In this case, it was Geography which received a 5 rating.
