Bangor University has opened up its 3 yr Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) for the first time ever to Canadian students in an effort to boost the number of nurses working in Wales as well as back home in Canada. This new initiative was recently featured on CBC Radio’s Morning Show in New Brunswick. You can read the story here
Successful applicants who undertake the program (which is 3 full calendar years) will be qualified to work as a nurse in Wales upon completion. (Canadian trained RPN’s could be eligible to complete the program in just 2 years.) Students will be required to undergo the same assessment as any other internationally trained nurse upon returning to Canada. The deadline for 2019 applications has now passed, but applications are being accepted for Sept 2020.
