If you have a relevant degree, you can be working on a new career in Occupational Therapy as soon as this January(2020). Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland is now accepting applications from Canadians who wish to study in this very popular and well-respected program.
The MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) is an intensive professional program of study which will assist students with developing theoretical, analytical, practical, evaluative and reasoning skills. Students will also receive training to develop strong professional values.
Occupational therapists assess client disruption and disengagement from their occupations, and facilitate alternative ways for them to re-engage and participate in their occupational roles thereby increasing their well-being and quality of life. All qualifications are transferable to working back here at home in Canada.
The Modules which students will study reflect contemporary and prospective occupational therapy practice. Courses focus on the relationship between the individual’s or a community’s occupations, health, well-being and belonging. The program pays specific attention to person-centred, evidence-informed and occupation-focused occupational therapy practice. Upon graduation, students will be properly prepared to work in a variety of diverse practices.
