The MPharm program at the University of Ulster provides an academically challenging environment with vocational experience which is relevant to the educational curriculum. The excellent training that students receive is grounded by pharmaceutical sciences as well as practice skills in the areas of pharmacy practice and patient care. The goal of the MPharm program is to educate pharmacy students to a high standard in an environment of modern clinical relevance, which allows their immediate integration into a forward thinking, healthcare-based profession. Canadian students are able to apply to this program directly from high school and qualifications are easily transferable to working back here at home.
The MPharm programme will provide students with the knowledge, understanding, skills and appropriate training required for them to be responsible for the manufacture, safe, legal and professional control, distribution and use of medicinal products. It also incorporates detailed studies of all aspects of drug action, design, formulation and use.
