Be part of the longest running Forensic Science Course in the UK. This well-respected program has been training students from all over the world, including Canada, for more than 50 years. Graduates of the MSc Forensic Science work globally in highly respected positions after graduating with a wide range of practical skills, problem-solving and investigative thinking relevant to a wide range of careers.
Students learn from excellent instructors who are also experts in their field, conducting research and casework. Another unique benefit of the program is the opportunity to work with students studying Law at Strathclyde to gain experience testifying as a Forensics expert in an actual courtroom with a real Sheriff.
Facilities for this program are state-of-the-art. Teaching takes place in the Centre for Forensic Science which is a modern laboratory for practical forensic training. The Centre is furnished with the latest equipment for analysis of a wide range of evidence types. Facilities includes a microscopy suite, DNA profiling laboratory, analytical chemistry laboratory, blood pattern analysis room, and a suite for setting up mock crime scenes.
