At the University of South Wales, teacher training includes an important balance of university study and school placements. This combination of experience means that you will develop the skills and knowledge to begin your career with confidence. The well respected Education Faculty have links with schools, nurseries, colleges and other education settings across Wales enabling the best possible work opportunities.
Students are offered extensive guidance and practical sessions to develop an understanding of effective teaching. You will know understand how to apply theory from lectures to real-life situations that you will encounter in the classroom. A new science lab and two simulated primary classrooms, provide student teachers with authentic learning opportunities and allow them to get comfortable in the workplace with realistic settings.

The University of South Wales offers both early years and education courses. Teaching graduates can specialise with further training in areas such as special educational needs or leadership and management. For Canadian students, qualifications are transferable to working back at home.
