Work as a Nurse for 2 years after Graduation in the UK
The British government has announced a new policy (starting 2020/21) which allows international students to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years after graduation. This means that students graduating from the Bangor University Adult Nursing Program (B.A. Hons) will now be eligible to work in nursing while undergoing the application process to transfer their skills back to Canada.
The program at Bangor University runs for 3 straight calendar years (36 months) so is actually slightly longer than the 32 months that the program requires in Canada. It also features one of the largest number of clinical hours as compared to any other university nursing program in the UK. Watch below to find out more:
The program will prepare students to work in the following areas:
- Acute sector general and specialist medical and surgical nursing
- Critical care nursing (intensive and high dependency care, emergency department, theatres and recovery)
- Community nursing in the home environment and primary care
The teaching staff at Bangor have a wide range of clinical experience and have partnerships with many health care agencies to insure that student learning is of the highest possible quality. If you are interested in finding out more about this program or would like to apply from Canada, please contact Barclay Educational Services at JSB@barclayedu.com. Barclay is the only Canadian agent authorized to accept applications on behalf of the University from students in Canada.
