This enlightening program, (MA Ancient Egyptian Culture) concentrates on ancient Egyptian history, language and material culture. The fascinating curriculum is brought to life by international research specialists and also allows students to focus on topics such as heritage, museum and material culture interpretation to enhance future job prospects.
Another noteworthy asset of this program benefits from Swansea University’s unique Egypt Centre. The Centre houses thousands of artifacts from Ancient Egypt and is the largest collection of its kind in Wales.
As well as the Egypt Centre, other excellent resources include a main library which is stocked with original texts, literary and documentary, with basic works of reference and secondary material. It subscribes to a wide range of general and specialist periodicals.
Students are also invited to take part in the thriving Classics, Ancient History and Egyptology postgraduate seminar, which meets weekly.
