A new decade is here and this is the perfect time to pursue your dream of studying for a Law Degree! And as many Canadians already know, the UK is the ideal place to do it. Many UK Universities, such as the University of Leicester, the University of Southampton and City University of London, are already home to a large number of Canadians who are studying to be lawyers. In addition to providing excellent student support both academically and personally, these institutions also have a long track record of insuring that qualifications adequately prepare graduates for returning back home to work in Canada.

Why is the UK a preferred option for so many law students? One reason is the flexibility of programs which is offered there. Firstly, for students who already have an undergraduate degree, the UK offers a 2 year Accelerated Law Program (JD Pathway) which means that instead of spending your third year in class, you can be back home working at a Law firm while preparing for your exams. Entrance requirements for this program generally start at 75 percent for the overall GPA.
In the case of students who have not yet achieved a degree, the 3 year LLB program is accessible directly from high school. In this particular case, an overall GPA of approximately 80 percent is usually required.
