| The University of Leicester is one of the most popular choices for Canadians heading overseas to study Law whether it is in the 3 year LLB program or the 2 year Accelerated Law Program (JD Pathway.) In fact, more than a third of the student body in the law program is comprised of Canadian students. With this in mind, the University has put a number of protocols in place during Covid 19 to offer students as much safety and flexibility as possible during their studies. |
Students can now choose from the following:
1. Come to the United Kingdom as planned and join your course on campus, by the specified start date this September.
2. Start your degree online and arrive in the UK in time to start your second or final year on campus, thus opting to study online throughout the entire 2020/21 academic year.
3. Start your degree online and arrive in the UK in time to start Semester 2 on campus, or sooner if possible.
4. Defer your offer until September 2021.
For details on any of these options OR to apply for Sept 2020 or Sept 2021 to the University of Leicester, please contact Canadian agent Barclay Educational Services at JSB@barclayedu.com Our services are FREE to students! The University pays our fee.

The University of Leicester has just unveiled “Ignite” which is a new way of welcoming students for learning and living during the upcoming Fall 2020 Semester. It features a combination of methods including combining on-campus face to face study with flexible digital learning. The University says this will help students enjoy the learning experience both physically and virtually in a safer environment, and switch easily between the two as as needed. Please see details on the plan as provided by the University below:
How it works
- Small group learning sessions, such as tutorials and seminars, will run face-to-face and be live cast online;
- Larger lectures will be delivered by live cast and recorded, so you can login when you want and watch from the comfort of your room in halls or from home;
- Academic and personal support will be available to you either virtually or face-to-face to respond to your needs. This will include weekly check-ins on your progress and well-being;
- You will be matched with a peer mentor (usually in their second or third year of study) to guide you through your transition to university;
- Our award-winning student support services, from the library to careers to well-being, will be available both face-to-face and online with many of these available 24/7;
- New flexible accommodation packages allow you to choose your on-campus living option to meet your study and student experience requirements;
- We will offer a vibrant and safe on-campus social experience to ensure you settle in and make friends;
- Our campus-based activities and face-to-face learning will adapt with the national and local situation. Watch below to find out more about flexible learning at Leicester.
Arrangements have also been made to provide safer student accommodations including provisions for those who must quarantine upon arrival. Please see details here: https://le.ac.uk/ignite/ignite-accommodation
